Partnerships

Strategy & Partnerships:

Partnerships will be key to the success of this program. We cannot do it alone and with the help of the Houston community at large we can make a difference in the lives of children, locally, and beyond.

Partner with other organizations

GMA will partner with other organizations who have programs in place to help Low SES supplement lost art programs in school. We will also partner with organizations and companies who are willing to provide a snack or boxed lunch for the children after school and before the program begins so they can focus on learning and not being hungry.

Partner with schools

The approach we will take is to reach out to neighborhood schools willing to host the classes after school. If we cannot find a participating school the next option is to rent out a private facility, as in a community center or an event hall.

Partner with museums

For our museum trips, we will approach local art museums in the area and coordinate a “Night at the Museum” on their free or reduced admission nights. We would inquire if we could have a visiting artist speak to the children and encourage them to pursue art as a career.
